So there are so many things going on right now (as usual) that I feel like everyday is a bit of a whirlwind. Come June, I’m moving… not just in the neighborhood I live now but closer to my sister, mom and friends. Where I live now is very convenient as far as healthy groceries like Whole Foods, Sprouts etc… but also I know the area of Irvine so well things are easy. I also love my apartment that I live in now, and after 14 months I feel so settled and everything fits in its place.
Moving though brings change… change isn’t always bad but it isn’t always easy. The cost of moving is high, I have to pre-plan (budget and cut back on expenses) from now until the next three months. Change is also exciting. I didn’t have the best “yoga” spot in my apartment. I also have been reducing “stuff” and moving will help me do this. Normally, I would want to HOARD as much stuff as possible for a fear of letting go. Not sure why but I hate parting ways with things that I might need in the future.
Some of the changes or improvements I’ve been moving towards is less waste in general. I’m trying to do this in the way I travel, work and live. There are simple ways of course by always carrying my own water bottle with me, getting less food to-go, using no disposable items. This Friday I go to some places to check out. I’m spoiled now in Irvine with easy parking, in unit washer and dryer, no loud neighbors or streets. I’m also excited for newness, change and convenience of being able to see my friends more often or having them over. I’ve never lived in North OC before so this is some what exiting.
I really don’t love packing (or unpacking) and I do it way in advance because who has the time to pack last minute, it is just way too stressful. So for tonight, I’m working on packing a day of being out in the office and trying to be as waste free + healthy as possible. Did I mention I’m going to work on going grain free + dairy free + vegetarian?
