A lot has happened

A lot has happened this year… Just like the previous years before that. As I’m reflecting on the year and what goals to start working on for next year 2018 I’m stuck feeling crashing waves of anxiety. Will I be able to do more? Will I have any life changing experiences? I was constantly busy this year… month to month, week to week, day to day I stayed busy.

I should have practiced yoga more. I should have eaten healthier more consistently. This week was the last of my BUSY COMMITMENTS and now I’m not sure what to do with myself. I have no chill vibes and have a hard time sitting around. “Too many mind” from The Last Samurai comes to mind often. I have too many mind (thoughts). My chiropractor pokes fun at me because I over think everything way too much and you wouldn’t really know this because I can also be pretty mellow.

It is never too late to begin though. I’ve already started practicing yoga more. This means … a lot more time spent upside down and on my hands. Another couple things I’d love to master is nauli (someone teach me how) and how to teach bandhas. I have been compiling a yoga mastering binder that someday I hope to share. This is all the information I learn about yoga (asanas, philosophy and so much more). I’m also planning a few workshops next year. I did a couple successful workshops in 2016 but completely took a break in 2017 because it was like trying to walk through a tornado to commit to anything extra.

Some additional goals I have are:

  • Continue handstands
  • Master backbends
  • More blogging
  • More consistency
  • Better meal prepping ideas
  • More self care – I’ve added a lot more of this in 2017 which helped me stay sane(ish) this year
  • More risk with people/relationships (I’m avoidant and anxious and it holds me back from better friendships, family closeness and more)
  • More nature experiences

Let me know if you have tips, suggestions on how to build a stronger yoga practice. Or how you sequence your flows, I’d love to hear/read stories on your experience.

Namaste~
