Mermaid Spotting

I enjoy the outdoors, (it really is no secret) but I enjoy it more with like minded friends. I love paddleboarding and stand up paddleboard (SUP) YOGA. I think the best part about it is you are doing something active but you don’t have to get up to go to the gym or change into this or that… You don’t break a sweat etc… I like to take a regular SUP yoga class with Sarah if I can, however the drive and scheduling doesn’t always allow this. Lately I’ve been trying to kick it up a notch with my workout since my energy follows the sun… If the sun is there I’m full of energy and if it isn’t well I can stay warm in front of the TV or (over) eating my favorite comfort foods.

The other benefit for me was that it healed me. I suffer from inflammation for well…. various reasons. Mostly visible on my skin but i swell up, my skin breaks and I bleed. I control my inflammation with food but I get flareups here and there and sometimes it stays awhile to remind me to be aware of what I’m eating and how to live my life with balance.

Today there were no sign ups for SUP Yoga with YOGAqua so we decided to paddle out to hang out and explore. It was a good time for all of us and we had a bunch of fun and laughs (as usual). I’m going to really try and make it to sunset SUP yoga class (Fridays @ 4:30pm) this week since I have the day off.

We also had a seal pop up here and there to say hello along our travels out the marina. It was a lot of work and I was definitely hungry and thirsty by the end of our exploration.
